About

My name is Skye Franklin and I am a baseball player going into my senior year at Stevenson High School in Pebble Beach California. Recently, I have become inspired to make a difference in my community because of the coronavirus, and the effect it had on my junior season. The ability of not having the opportunity to do what I love, baseball, brought me to the realization that some are never even given the chance to play sports. This had me thinking about the children in our community of Monterey County who never have had the opportunity to play sports because of a lack of sports equipment. I have been fortunate enough to grow up in my hometown of Salinas and play all sorts of sports such as Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Rugby, and Tennis, which have contributed to the person I am today. I would love to create the chance for life long friendships and healthy routines that sports provide through the Batter Up Project.
